Downloading Latest Version

Open Niitro opened this issue 7 years ago • 6 comments

Hi. I've had the latest version of the AIO but today I saw that my computer detected a trojan and it was this software that got deleted. I tried downloading this again, but I kept seeing that the download failed and that a trojan was getting detected. Will there be a solution to the malware that is on the download?

It's obviously a false positive. You can build the source code by yourself, you will get the same result.
So the best what you can do now:

  • Disable your Anti-Virus.
  • Download the latest from release.
  • Place it somewhere on your hard drive, where you won't move it elsewhere.
  • Configure your Anti-Virus to exclude the directory or the exe from scan.
  • Enable your Anti-Virus again.

I haven't found the reason for the false detection yet. I'll look for a solution after I'm done with my current changes.

What anti-virus software are you using? We might be able to report this as a false positive to the vendor.

I think it's easier to find the reason for Gen:Variant.MSILPerseus.91712

I talked to KapuDaKupa. He said that what detected the trojan generally likes to think everything is a virus. I have windows defender running.

How would I disable defender if the AIO isn't a malware? If that's what I need to do..

Disable Windows Defender, download the AIO, place it somewhere. Add it to Exclusions, then enable defender again.
