(Feature request) Mark Hash In Clipboard

Open darkred opened this issue 7 years ago • 1 comments

Using RapidCRC-Unicode 0.3.23 x64 in win10.

My feature request is based on a HashMyFiles feature, that I use all the time. I quote from its page:

Version 1.17: Added 'Mark Hash In Clipboard' option. If this options is selected, the hash that you copy to the clipboard is compared to the MD5/SHA1 hashes that are currently displayed in HashMyFiles. If there is a match, the hash line is marked in green color.

i.e. my suggestion is: when you rightclick some files/a folder in File Explorer and press RapidCRC | Open, if you have copied to the clipboard their expected hashes, e.g. MD5 hashes, then to compare them against the hashes calculated by RapidCRC (provided that: i. you have set the relevant hash type checkbox, e.g. MD5 in: Options | Algorithms: 'When not checking hash files calculate' and, ii. -for your convenience- have set to display the relevant hash column in RapidCRC's main screen ). If there's a match, then highlight them(each relevant row) in green color.

Thank you

This could also be something below the RapidCRC window in an optional status box. I quickly mocked up something here:

Text: "NOTE: An item on the clipboard matches a hash value in the window above. Click here for more."
