Updating a directory and reading checksum files

Open AlexAwesome88 opened this issue 3 months ago • 0 comments

Usecase: When you have a directory with multiple large files then you create a checksum.md5 for the entire directory and you want to add another large file.

Open the directory in RapidCRC and the tool can't tell that there is a .md5 file with a lot of checksums in that directory. Instead it says: "No hash found"

The only way to update the .md5 file would be to create a new one for the entire directory, recalculating all checksums for all files.

Why can't this tool read its own files when opening a directory?
