The Projects page is titled Project Archive

While the H1 title of /projects says "Projects" the HTML title of the page is "Projects Archive - OSGeo". While this possibly goes unnoticed in a browser it is visible, e.g., in Google search.

Isn't this rather an issue for OSGeo SAC Website?

I think the h1 tag and title tag are aligned according to SEO in OSGeo SAC Website... The h1 tag serves as main heading and title tag provides the description of page's content but in case of Projects page the title is Project Archive - OSGeo and h1 is Projects which doesn't align according to SEO. @neteler
