Webpage asks permissions to connect to devices in local network

Visiting our documentation with an updated Chrome browser in Ubuntu https://proj.org/en/stable/development/reference/functions.html I get this message.

What is the documentation page trying to do?

It happened in other pages (I don't know the details why), but I was not expecting readthedocs doing anything suspicious.
