Resolving Windows 11 Audit Mode Limitations with a Script Solution

Open Abe-Telo opened this issue 1 year ago • 2 comments

In Windows 11, when the operating system is not activated, Microsoft imposes certain restrictions that can affect functionality. For example, you might experience delays when opening folders or right-clicking files for the first time, a non-responsive taskbar, or a missing touch keyboard. Navigating to settings to activate Windows can be particularly challenging, as many functionalities are intentionally disabled.

Here’s a workaround to help restore functionality and ease the activation process:

Download the Necessary Files: Access and download the script from this link.

Extract the Files: Unzip the downloaded file to USB to access the necessary script.

Run the Script: Open PowerShell and execute the following command:

   .\Images\Images\Windows\Unattend\explorer.ps1

This script helps bypass the restrictions, making it easier to access settings and activate Windows
