Zoom in parallel view not working

[v2023.12.0] The following grid shows a problem with zoom when in parallel view.

Note: in order to attach, I have added a .TXT file extension, this is actually a .7Z archive. SNS2_INIT.7z.txt

Procedure:

• File / Import / Eclipse Case / Import Eclipse Case --> SNS2_INIT.EGRID
• Click on 'Parallel View'
• Zoom in/out (e.g. middle mouse scroller) does not work

In simple test models zoom in parallel view works Ok, but for some reason this model is picking up on a coding weakness. I have checked backwards versions, this issue occurs in all versions back to 2016.11.0.

This is somewhat similar to issue #10419.
