Hello there, Just to confirm we're also experiencing that issue.
We experience difficulties here with our collaborators when working on the online spreadsheet. Scroll is way too fast and make the overall experiencing very frustrating.
Fixing that issue would be a great added-value to all users of the spreadsheet solution for sure.
Commenting here to second (fourth?) that this problem needs to be fixed. It's 2021, there is no reason for any application whatsoever not to have smooth scrolling. It's not just a cosmetic feature, it's also an accessibility necessity.

There's such a win to catch here. That would improve drastically in an instant the overall experience of the product. But I don't know how hard it is technically to achieve such improvement.
I have raised another ticket to try and get this sorted, but got the same answer....no ETA for a fix. So frustrating on the Desktop version on MacOS. Ruins what is a great piece of software.
Perhaps as it is Open Source software someone else can fix it. 🤞
