Linking to a slide in a presentation breaks if another slide is added

Open Monoxide8969 opened this issue 9 months ago • 4 comments

This issue is unique.

  • [x] I have used the search tool and did not find an issue describing my bug.

Operating System

Linux (Flatpak)

Version information

version 8.3.2.19 (flatpak)

Expected Behavior

  • I create a link on slide N.1 to slide N.5.
  • I insert a new slide between the original slides N.1 and N.5, which renumbers the previously linked slide to N.6.
  • When I click on the link, it should still take me to the original intended destination, which is now slide N.6, ensuring that the link is updated to reflect the new slide numbering.

Actual Behavior

  • I create a link on slide N.1 to slide N.5.
  • I insert a new slide between the original slides N.1 and N.5, which renumbers the previously linked slide to N.6.
  • When I click on the link, it incorrectly takes me to the original slide N.5, instead of updating to point to the new slide N.6, which is the intended destination after the slide renumbering.

Reproduction Steps

  • Create two slides
  • Link one to the other
  • create a third slide between them
  • The link to the original one now takes to the new one

Additional information

This makes linking to other slides useless unless I'm 100% sure I will never edit the presentation again, because every added/removed slide breaks the linking as originally intended

@Monoxide8969, I have to ask you to be patient and not use offensive language. If you encounter a problem please describe it more specifically. At this point I can't say that the screenshot is related to the original problem in the issue or to the editor itself.

Another user commented on this issue with a phishing/malware link.

I've reported them and github must have banned them before you could see it.

It was obviously not related to the issue and absolutely not addressed to the Onlyoffice staff. Sorry for the misunderstanding. I've tried to remove my reply but I can't apparently

@Monoxide8969,

I've reported them and github must have banned them before you could see it.

Yes, this was the case. We blocked the malicious messages from that user as well.
