This issue is unique.

  • [X] I have used the search tool and did not find an issue describing my bug.

Operating System

Windows 10 / 8.1 / 7

Version information

7.1.1

Expected Behavior

When opening the attached PPTX File in the Desktop Editor or the Document Server (Community Edition with Nextcloud), all images with transparency lose their transparency or change their color, in some cases becoming the same as the background. grafik (expected behavior viewed in PowerPoint )

Actual Behavior

grafik (OO behavior viewed in Desktop Editor or Document Server)

  • The head image becomes gray
  • The image on the bottom left becomes black
  • The two images on the right side lose transparency and turn from gray to black
  • The left image loses transparency but keeps its color If you right-click the image in Powerpoint and save it as a PNG file and then right-click on the image in OO and replace it with the PNG, it shows the image correctly.

Reproduction Steps

To reproduce the described phenomenon, download the attached File and open it in OO and PowerPoint.

Is there any update on this or a projected timeline for a fix?? I'm experiencing the same thing with watermarks showing up as solid black instead of the opacity I've set.

In my opinion, at the moment this is one of the main problems that prevents the massive use of ONLYOFFICE Presentation Editor as a replacement for Microsoft Office PowerPoint.

Yes, this, and the Issue #1862, 1 1/2 years ago. I wanted to switch to ONLYOFFICE, but since these issues are still there, I will stay with MS Office. Interestingly, in this post from 2017, they make fun of MS Office Online and Google Docs for sometimes messing with the formatting and claim, 'ONLYOFFICE will retain the original formatting of the document regardless of the file size and complexity of its elements. Don’t forget what your document looked like!' However, issues like this one still exist seven years later.

Can confirm this is happening as well. LibreOffice displays a low-opacity image correctly, office.com displays it correctly, OnlyOffice does not.
