Creating or deleting a comment will scoll the comment list back to the top
Do you want to request a feature or report a bug? Report a bug.
What is the current behavior? Whenever two or more users are editing a document, when one user is scrolling through the comment list/side panel and another user creates or deletes a comment, the comment list for the first user will scroll back to the top.
If the current behavior is a bug, please provide the steps to reproduce and if possible a minimal demo of the problem.
- Create a document.
- Open this document with two users.
- With the first user, create a few long comments so the comment list becomes scrollable.
- With the first user, scroll the comment list beyond the initial point.
- With the second user, create or delete a comment in the same document.
What is the expected behavior? The comment list gracefully updates and deletes the comment without adjusting the scroll position of the comment list.
Did this work in previous versions of DocumentServer? Unknown.
DocumentServer version: 7.1.0
Operating System: Server: Fedora 36 Client: Ubuntu 22.04 & Ubuntu 20.04
Browser version: Firefox 100.0.2
In fact I can also reproduce this with simply updating the document. Entering or deleting any piece of text with the secondary user will scroll the comments list back to the top.
Hello @NanoSector Thank you once again Issue #57751 was created in our private issue tracker
I can confirm that this is still an issue and hasn't been fixed. If another user is typing anything, it will scroll all over the place, which makes it unbrearable to collaborate.
Using OnlyOffice 6.7.8 App from Nextcloud and onlyoffice/documentserver Docker image.
