mail client?

Hi, how can I access my mails form my OnlyOffice Docker container throgh an Mail Client? I've tried a lot but with no luck.

Hello @MSandro Can you describe your problem? What mail client are you using? What is the Onlyoffice installation? Errors that you have?

Thanks for the fast reply. I've tried Thunderbird and the Gmail App via IMAP on port 143 and STARTLS. But it says username or password is wrong. I think the password which I am using on the CommunityPanel is the same as the mail pw, true?

Sorry, but in this version you can't give an password of emails. We added this feature to the next version of Onlyffice Community Server.

Thanks good to know, I've now tried other mail apps on android and they do not allow to continue without password.

What do I have to consider if I want to use my mailbox in Thunderbird, for example?

In this version of Onlyoffice Community Server you can't use third-party mail clients. This feature will be available in next version.

Is this still imposible to connect via 3rd party clients? Or this is just open because someone forgot to close it? I saw some forum thread from 2016 where someone were complaining about that. Really I can't understand why would it be still open after so many years unless it is business decision. Why would you do this? You allow to integrate your star project (I think), document server, with 3rd party apps like nextcloud and owncloud and do not allow to use mail with other clients? This does not makes sense, even more since its just iRedMail in disguise. What is technical problem preventing you to implement this?

Hello @npodbielski this feature was released in 10.0 version of Onlyoffice. Sometime we will close all issues :)

Thanks for info. I will test it. Can you look into this issue also https://github.com/ONLYOFFICE/Docker-MailServer/issues/16? I would be nice to know if this is valid at least. :)

Indeed it works. Thanks. To bad newest version from docker hub do not support ports 993 and 995. I had to create my own image from file in this repo.
