Problem with Spanish dictionaries and automatic word corrections

Open maravento opened this issue 4 years ago • 3 comments

The document editor, when a document is opened in Spanish, only corrects some words in this language, exclusively if Spanish (Spain international literacy) is selected AKA Español (españa, alfabetización internacional). It does not work in Spanish (Colombia) or Spanish (Argentina) etc. And the dictionary is very poor. It doesn't recognize common words like:

  • policía, petición, acción, alcaldía, etc (if you remove accent from all words)

Is there any additional dictionary plugin (or pack) that can be installed to onlyoffice to improve the correction of errors in texts? Thk

PD: I have followed the procedure described in Spell-checking, but the problem persists

I have the same issue.

It would be really nice to see dictionary improvments.

Same issue, this is the only thing keeping me back from use onlyoffice over libreoffice. Since this is almost a two years bug and no one have show sign of life here, it doesn't seem like this will be fixed anytime soon.

It's a hassle having to change the language of all the documents that are sent to me just so I can have the spell checker.

Onlyoffice should use the same Spanish spellchecker to all Spanish variants, like libreoffice and freeoffice do.
