Aborted (core dumped) when starting on Ubuntu 22.04

This issue is unique.

  • [X] I have used the search tool and did not find an issue describing my bug.

Operating System

Linux (DEB package)

Version information

7.4.0-163

Expected Behavior

I expect the application to start so I can begin using it.

Actual Behavior

The application briefly pops up with a partially loaded interface. If I open a specific document, the partial interface is associated with the document type. See screenshots below. When running from the command line I get the following:

bert@berts-T14Gen3:~$ onlyoffice-desktopeditors

(DesktopEditors:12186): Gtk-WARNING **: 12:31:39.470: gtk_disable_setlocale() must be called before gtk_init()
Aborted (core dumped)

Reproduction Steps

No response

Additional information

Initially I used OnlyOffice 7.4.0 without any problems, but today I suddenly can't use it anymore. It crashes when it starts. I've already purged and reinstalled it from the deb as well as the apt repository, but I can't seem to fix the issue. I've also deleted .config/onlyoffice but that made no difference.

I'm running Ubuntu 22.04 with all latest updates installed. I'm guessing a library update broke something, since nothing else has changed on my system. If there are ways to do further debugging to help you guys, then please let me know!

@bertvandepoel Hi You can first uninstall Onlyoffice with the command "sudo apt purge onlyoffice-desktopeditors" and reinstall the application. If the problem still exists, can you attach the files, where does the problem happen or does the problem affect all files? Otherwise, you can use the Flatpak and Snap package. If it helps, please write here

I already purged and reinstalled using the .deb as well as the apt repo. I mentioned this in "Additional information" but maybe you missed it. It happens universally, as shown by the different screenshots. One is just a start without any file, and I tried a bunch of files to verify that it's universal. I've not tried flatpack or snap yet. To be honest I'm not a big fan of those, since they waste a lot of space. I will try the appimage when I'm back at my computer, since that doesn't require any daemons/dependencies that are annoying.

@bertvandepoel Hi Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce your problem on my computer. I tested on a clean OS with the latest update. We have released version 7.4.1, can you update your version and check it out?

I've updated to ONLYOFFICE Desktop Editors ver. 7.4.1.36 but sadly it doesn't seem to make a difference.

I gave the AppImage a try as well, but that also seems to crash, which really surprised me: $ ./DesktopEditors-x86_64.AppImage ./DesktopEditors: /tmp/.mount_DesktoaT0okG/usr/bin/libselinux.so.1: no version information available (required by /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libgio-2.0.so.0) ./DesktopEditors: /tmp/.mount_DesktoaT0okG/usr/bin/libselinux.so.1: no version information available (required by /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libmount.so.1) /tmp/.mount_DesktoaT0okG/usr/bin/editors_helper: /tmp/.mount_DesktoaT0okG/usr/bin/libselinux.so.1: no version information available (required by /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libgio-2.0.so.0) /tmp/.mount_DesktoaT0okG/usr/bin/editors_helper: /tmp/.mount_DesktoaT0okG/usr/bin/libselinux.so.1: no version information available (required by /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libmount.so.1) /tmp/.mount_DesktoaT0okG/usr/bin/editors_helper: /tmp/.mount_DesktoaT0okG/usr/bin/libselinux.so.1: no version information available (required by /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libgio-2.0.so.0) /tmp/.mount_DesktoaT0okG/usr/bin/editors_helper: /tmp/.mount_DesktoaT0okG/usr/bin/libselinux.so.1: no version information available (required by /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libmount.so.1)

(DesktopEditors:402257): Gtk-WARNING **: 11:11:09.285: gtk_disable_setlocale() must be called before gtk_init() /tmp/.mount_DesktoaT0okG/usr/bin/editors_helper: /tmp/.mount_DesktoaT0okG/usr/bin/libselinux.so.1: no version information available (required by /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libgio-2.0.so.0) /tmp/.mount_DesktoaT0okG/usr/bin/editors_helper: /tmp/.mount_DesktoaT0okG/usr/bin/libselinux.so.1: no version information available (required by /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libmount.so.1) Aborted (core dumped)

Any idea what's wrong? The fact that the AppImage doesn't work either is really weird in my view. No idea what to do now :/

@bertvandepoel There are two options, you provide access to your PC to our developer through anydesk or try to make a system image so that we deploy it on our virtual machine.

I ended up trying the flatpack. It's not ideal since visually the application integrates less well, but at least it's no longer crashing. Still quite annoying.

Having the same issue with onlyoffice-desktopeditors 7.5.1 installed via snap on Ubuntu 22.04.3. Here is the terminal output:

@TMueller83 Hi Can you update to version 8.0 of Onlyoffice?
