OnlyOffice does not follow system default color scheme
This issue is unique.
- [X] I have used the search tool and did not find an issue describing my bug.
Operating System
Linux (RPM package)
Version information
7.2.0.204
Expected Behavior
When selecting "System Default" under "Interface Theme", I expect the app to follow my system color scheme (using GNOME 42.4 on Fedora 36) depending on if my system is set to light or dark mode.
Actual Behavior
The app does not follow my system preferences.
Reproduction Steps
- Go to the Settings from the welcome screen (not sure it's called like that)
- Under "Interface Theme" select "System Default"
- Open GNOME Settings and select dark mode under the Appearance settings
- Watch OnlyOffice not changing its color scheme
Additional information
Can confirm this on Vanilla Debian bookworm 64-bit with GNOME 43.1 and Wayland using the ONLYOFFICE Desktop Editors Version 7.2.1.36 (deb package) through the official OnlyOffice repository.
Hello, @J-Lakeman. This is issue 59804 in our private issue tracker. Thank you for the report.
Hi!
May I kindly ask if there's any progress on this issue? Hopefully this isn't offensive.
I'm using KDE (Plasma 5.27.9) and ONLYOFFICE DesktopEditors 7.2.0.204 on NixOS, and I also encountered this issue. I would really appreciate it if this is fixed.
Thanks for all your great work!
Hello, @SuperKenVery Indeed, we have temporarily hidden the "Same as system" setting for Linux operating systems. Our developers are currently working on this problem. But unfortunately I can’t give exact dates right now. We will notify you in this issue if there is news. The issue number remains the same (59804).
