map legend - add ability to identify sites with data but station has been moved
Currently in map legend red indicates station data are out of date and gray indicates no data have been posted. Neither of these options accurately describes the situation where a station has been moved - historic data are online (so shouldn't be gray) and the station has been moved (data are not out of date in the way that is implied in the legend).
A useful feature would be to have the ability to explicitly identify/color-code/flag sites that have historic data but the station is no longer there.
@dbressler75, could you point us to the specific site, to provide better context?
@aufdenkampe, so for instance these two sites (https://monitormywatershed.org/sites/PUWC1S/; https://monitormywatershed.org/sites/PUHR1S/) are shown as red pins in MonMW indicating data have not been posted in greater than two weeks. This is true, but it's also true that these stations were moved and are no longer at those locations, so the suggestion was to possibly have a separate identifier for sites that no longer have stations. This is obviously not a critical issue, but would presumably help in identifying active stations that are having issues versus stations that have been moved and aren't having issues but the site remains red simply because the station was moved. This might also help with any monmw email notifications that people get regarding stoppages in data from stations that have been moved.
Thanks for those specific examples and the extra clarification on your suggestion!
A similar request is to add a fourth drop-down on the left side (in addition to "Data Types", "Organizations", and "Site Types") for "Data Age", allowing you to select combinations of sites represented in the Legend.
