I am creating this issue to add documentation that treats the use of DP tools in geophysical models, reviews and concrete applications.

• Differentiable modeling to unify machine learning and physical models and advance Geosciences
• Differentiable Programming for Earth System Modeling

I am sure there are much more, but just wanted to start collecting these somewhere so we can start including them in the Scientific Motivation of the paper.
