error when adding extra preprocess stanza when using js_program skeleton

I get the error

Error: Field "preprocess" is present too many times

when trying to add a preprocess directive in the package.toml when using skeleton js_program. Perhaps it needs to be merged, similar to how libraries is compose of other fields ((libraries !{dune-libraries} !(package-dune-libraries)))?
