Suggestion to Enhance "Employee External Partner" Module with Group By Feature in Timesheet
module: hr_employee_partner_external version: 17.0
Dear Stefano Consolaro,
First of all, I would like to thank you for developing the Employee External Partner module. It is incredibly useful for associating external partners with employees and has streamlined several processes for us.
I wanted to suggest an enhancement for this module. It would be highly beneficial if you could include a "Group By Employee External Partner" feature in the Timesheet module. This would allow users to easily group and analyze timesheets based on the external partner associated with each employee.
Thank you for considering this suggestion, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts.
Best regards, Silvo
Hi @Slivi-sliv I think that what you ask can be done with a small module, let's say hr_employee_partner_external_timesheet that will glue hr_employee_partner_external and hr_timesheet modules and inherit the timesheet view by adding a 'group by' a related field to res_partner
@Slivi-sliv please review this pr that does what you wanted https://github.com/OCA/hr/pull/1433
you might test here http://oca-hr-17-0-pr1433-4369ffc2ea45.runboat.odoo-community.org/web
Thank you for the quick response and help, Cvinh!
This is exactly what I was looking for—great work! I really appreciate the effort and dedication you put into this project. I have a few more suggestions for improvements and extensions, including ideas for additional modules. Can I share them here?
Thanks again for your support and excellent response!
Hello
Here are some nice moves you can do :
- you can review the PR to help a PSC to merge it
- next time, you can post issue with enhancement tag to ask for new feature
- you can buy a membership on www.odoo-community.org even if you're not expert
- you can sponsor OCA on same url
- you can buy some development to any OCA member who has developper skills to enrich oca's repos
I did this one on my free time because it was very easy but it's not usual to find someone with free time for free ;-)
Best regards
