Convergence discussion document
This ticket provides a placeholder for a document about one aspect of the Foundry vs Library distinction: the idea of converging upon a defined set of reference ontologies (Foundry). With that distinction largely gone, it isn't clear this document is needed. However, considering that several proposals have surfaced regarding other types of distinguishing ontologies, this ticket was created to store what might become a useful document in the future.

The status is unchanged from what's described when the ticket was made.
Personally, I believe the Foundry has anyway abandoned the part of the scope principle that this would have applied to.
