Using WatermelonDB inside a middleware

I have an existing app that's using redux saga. Now is it possible to call a watermelondb query inside of a middleware?

I had redux and redux saga in my application too. I decided to withdraw according to the WatermelonDB documentation. And for me the logic was much simpler without using them.
