@adietzel the parallel idea was dropped due to not having enough man power. We are currently working on some alternative performance improvements (see https://github.com/r-spatialecology/landscapemetrics/issues/302)

@mhesselbarth there are bugs popping out here and there (https://github.com/rspatial/terra/issues), but in general Robert Hijmans is very response and fixes them quick.
