Bug Summary
Script Extender is not loading. Manually installed dxgi.dll in DefEd/bin. Also tried used mod manager to install. No error at all in game other than the Story Compilation Error. Enabled console log, nothing in the default log folder. Changed log folder location, nothing in there either.

I'm having the exact same issue. dxgi.dll is in DefEd/bin, mod that requires it is turned on, restarted steam and computer. Still doesn't load dxgi.dll
Edit: Figured it out. I had played the game years ago, reinstalled recently on different hard drive, and put the dxgi.dll file in the old DefEd/bin folder. Hope this helps anyone else having this issue.

Bro, I am the same situation, but it is still no effect according to your method >.< Are there any other details?
Make sure you have the game installed in only a single place. Even if you do, it's possible you have a Steam folder on multiple hard drives, so make sure you put the file in the correct one. Good luck!
Thanks for reply, I even tried to completely delete all the Steam folder of other hard disks, clean up the Larian Studios folder, and then install game again, but it is still useless... I find some people reinstall the system, and dxgi.dll was inexplicably working normally. Perhaps it's the last method.
