Hi,

Version 1.8 refers to the version of the Osi format, not to the BG3 game version, so this string appears in essentially all D:OS2 and BG3 versions (i.e. this patch would fix BG3 patch8, but breaks BG3 <patch8 and D:OS2 and 1).

I'll think a bit more about what can be done to fix this, but there aren't too many tells :(.
