Does signing mean I am taking up responsibility for this extension worldwide or just on my device?

Hello. I didn't find a separate support forum so asking this question here.

I am willing to sign the AMO agreement so that I can sign my downloaded EmojiOne Chrome extension (its Firefox version doesn't work on Linux). But by signing the extension, does it mean I am sort of uploading the Foxified extension to AMO and taking responsibility, or is the signing only for purpose of my own local install?

Sorry for the seriously noobish question, but since it's a security issue, I want to be sure.

This place is perfect for questions. :)

Yes, this uploads the addon to AMO, but it is not public. So the part of the agreement which applies to "private uploads/unlisted uploads" applies. So yeah you take responsibility. I don't know what all this responsibility entails, because I haven't read the agreement myself yet haha. I just clicked "Agree". :P

Thanks very much Exe-Boss for your throughly researched posts! Your theme support, deprecated patch topics, and this post were so informative! I don't have the time to do that while I'm developing, so it is seriously appreciated!
