[Question] How to change the indentation width to two spaces

I cannot change the indentation width to 2 spaces, instead of the default 4.

I tried customizing the "Smie Indent Basic" variable, but this had no effect. How can this be achieved?

Is it possible some other mode like Dtrt-Indent is interfering? On my config, 2 spaces is always used (indent-tabs-mode is nil).

Hmm, no, I don't have any indentation package installed that I'm aware of. For the time being I simply changed the indentation method.
