[Funding]: OtaNix ry non-profit bootstrap expenses

OtaNix ry is a registered non-profit in Finland, which was founded as an outcome of the first Nix meetup in Helsinki. It's a Nix user group that hosts workshop and meetup events for its members and the Nix community in Finland. Since founding the organization, we've organized 3 workshops and 1 meetup.

Budget description
Non-profit registration fees, domain name fees and merchandise expenses.
These are the various organizational expenses that have been paid by the board members out of their own pocket. This money is needed to balance the sheet.
Thank you for submitting the budget request. Can you clarify why a separate foundation is needed to host such events? If you need a fiscal/legal host, we believe the NixOS Foundation could also act as such, as was also the case for NixCons.
I'll chime in because @lajp appears to have been offline since after we chatted about this issue.
1 Neither a Foundation nor "legal hosts" are strictly necessary in order to hold events. 2 OtaNix is a student organization and part of the AYY network. 3 We* are building our own cell, so it can act independently, build own relationships, foster local decision-making, and not be blocked on seeking the Foundation's approval on every little matter. 4. When it's time for the first NixCon Finland, we can talk about going via the Foundation:)
Personally, I'm extremely happy to see this initiative, and hoping for it to become much more common. I think it's in the interest of the Foundation to encourage people to build local structures that reduce their reliance on the Foundation. It's also of particular importance, given there isn't really, to my knowledge, anything comparable to the German CCC network in Finland.
