Event Purpose
The purpose is to hack on Nix itself and related projects as well as to bring newer members deeper into the Nix community. We would like to have a mix of veteran and less experienced (but not complete beginner) participants in order to facilitate skill transfer and community integration.
By sponsoring accommodation in addition to food and venue, as well as local transport, a full service is provided so only transportation needs to be covered by participants. We would like to provide this opportunity for people in the area who can not afford more expensive or distant venues to become integrated into the Nix community as well as engage in learning and skill exchange.

Budget description
The budget would allow us to cover accommodation, venue, and food for the participants for the duration of the sprint. We would also like to cover local transport to/from transport hubs or airport.
We are aiming for around 15000 EUR in total but can work with less. Around half of that will be spent on accommodation, venue and catering, and the rest on transportation, activities, food, snacks, drinks and merch.
Hey @refroni (and others), I'm helping @brainrake organize this sprint, so we have continuity / redundancy if I ever get sick of running OceanSprint. Would be great if the Foundation could help us out!
This sprint will also cover accommodation, so we can get students and folks with a lower travel budget to attend.
I'm also co-organizer, hope we can boost the nix community in eastern Europe with this sprint! :)

Unfortunately we canceled the event, so we will not need the funding. There was less interest than anticipated. I'll look into organizing a meetup, it may be more appropriate. Thank you for the opportunity.
