Some Issues with Nitrokey App2

Guten Tag!

First of all thank you for your committment and hard work to ensure a more secure and a more sovereign alternative in the authentication space.

We have some keys we want to roll out for our users and we started doing some tests to see how things work out. We updated the firmware on Windows to the latest version 1.8.3 and begun our primary testings.

We posted this message on the forum but we are reposting here as we think Github is more appropriate.

First thing we noticed is that under factory reset the app says that the Pin is set while under the "Pin change" the entry is disabled and it is saying that "No Pin Set"

Changing the Pin didn't work and generated an error as you can see on this screencast :

Later and after Ejecting the key and inserting it again we had another issue where all the Locked Passwords are gone , they do not show anymore, and we couldn't even tick the checkbox as you can see on this screencast :

Please help us, we need to distribute the Keys we have ordered to the users

There was indeed an issue with the PIN in Settings/Passwords - we fixed that - it could be that the other issues are related to that - as we couldn't reproduce these ...

while this is not released you can try the development version directly from git using pipx like that:

pipx install git+https://github.com/nitrokey/nitrokey-app2 --suffix=-git

this should create a nitrokeyapp-git in your ~/.local/bin/
