Keyboard Shortcuts not working on macOS

  • Application version: 1.3
  • Operating system: macOS High Sierra 10.13.4
  • Device model and firmware version: Pro v0.8
  • Connected USB port type: 3.0 via USB-C/Firewire adapter
  • Issue occurrency: always

Expected behaviour

When double hitting CapsLock the configured HTOP should be returned.

Current behaviour

Nothing happens. I've tried with a external USB Keyboard connected as well as the internal MacBook Keyboard.

Steps for reproduction

Setup a HTOP Token Configure CapsLock double Press to said token Double press CapsLock

Hi @cytec ! This might be connected with the Secure Keyboard Entry macOS feature. Could you try to insert the code into some text editor and see, if it is inserted or not?

Hi @szszszsz, Thanks for your response! I've tried multiple text editors, a few browser (url bars) as well as different apps nothing worked. Thats why i thought that the key's might don't even get recognized :/

Hi @cytec ! Sorry for the delay. I have reproduced this issue on my setup (macOS 10.13), but had not investigated this further yet. It is possible that due to added security measures to the OS (against USB keyloggers / exploiters) it might have stopped working. I will update you later, once I will check this (and against other OSes). Realistically it should be next month. Issue will be moved probably to proper device's project, since App is transferring the commands correctly over HID (I will CC to you).

Hi!

Sorry for the delay. We are working on it currently. It is possible though firmware update would be required to bring that feature back. I will write more, once the solution will be prepared.
