Feedback
@NilsMinor Hello, just wanted to place a feedback on your template. I've used it in several projects and it works perfectly, so you could update the status of your README.ME to reflect that it was tested and used in real boards. Thank you a lot.
However I can not ensure the correctness of the design, since it was not produced in the moment (but in the future). Use it as it is without any guarantee from me. If you find a mistake please let me know it :)
@Matheus-Garbelini Hi, thanks a lot for your feedback 👍
Hey @NilsMinor just wanted to say thanks for making this.
And also @Matheus-Garbelini thanks for mentioning that you've tested it. We're in the process of making a Myriad X HAT for the Raspberry Pi (we're calling it DepthAI for Rasbperry Pi - because it will let you do Depth + AI).
We just finished making a carrier board for the CM3B+, which will be nice for many folks we hope - and we're going to be open sourcing that design. But, we figured the HAT will probably be the most convenient form-factor (with off-board FFC cables to the cameras, unlike the initial CM3B+ design).
Here's the current prototype FWIW:

Cheers, Brandon
Also I just edited the board shape to conform to 5mil edge spacing and make it so a cut-out isn't needed. Can upload that here if of interest.
Hey @Luxonis-Brandon ,
thanks for your feedback and great to hear that my template worked for you :) Your project looks awesome ! Hope to see more of your project and your carrier board.
Feel free to make an PR or share your design, I will have a look.
Cheers, Nils
Thanks and thanks! Will do.
Best, Brandon
Hi @NilsMinor ,
Meant to circle back that here's our Pi HAT, in case it's of use: https://github.com/luxonis/depthai-hardware/tree/master/BW1094_DepthAI_HAT

Hi @Luxonis-Brandon ,
thanks a lot for your feedback! Your board looks awesome, as well as the other boards in your repo! I really appreciate that you made your designs open to others, very cool!
By the way, I have checked your design and it really looks nice :). My company created an Online Gerber Viewer. You can use it to view the Gerber files before you order the PCB. However, I use it for sharing the look and feel of my PCB projects, as you can share the generated link --> https://stackrate.de/viewer?stackId=J1M-erWHf
You can also make images in your repo clickable like this --> https://hackaday.io/page/6930-cooler-hardware-readmes-using-an-online-gerber-viewer
Best regards, Nils
Hi @NilsMinor ,
Vielen Dank!
Wow, that's super cool. @Luxonis-Brian would probably find that quite interesting to check out and double-check Gerbers and/or share projects. That's so cool! Ya, definitely would like that to share look/feel of the boards.
freundliche Grüße, Brandon
Hi @Luxonis-Brandon ,
you are welcome, I am glad you like it :D
And this viewer is for free, we use it to improve our software as we try to support Gerber files from various EDA tools :) Feel free to use it for Analysis purpose or to share or to embed it to your page :)
Nice German words from you ;) best regards,
Nils
Just as info, I tested some of your projects on our Gerber viewer, seems like we do not 100% auto select the right outline, we will fix this. But you can do this in the file upload view by clicking on "Set Outline" in the upper right drop down menu.
And if you like to "save/lock" your project, you can do this by clicking the lock icon in the Gerber viewer in the upper right corner as well. This prevents an uploaded project to be changed.
Alles klingt super! Danke noch einmal!
(Und sehr gut zu wissen!)
Really nice to see success stories with this template. Cheer guys :+1:
