Feature Request: Button To Clear Search Field

I'm getting a bit of grief from users that it is not intuitively obvious to them that to see more results in the dropdown they must first delete the text in the search field. This is especially true when clearSearchFilter is set to false and the user comes back to the dropdown some time later. It would improve usability I think to have a little (x) icon to the right of the search field that just empties the text box.
