New hands-on controls on keyboard keys
Based on some discussions between Sammy, Fox-Three, J-mav16, Zorka and myself we have sorta come to the conclusion that hands-on controls can be set better on the keyboard.
This is a good start: (but feel free to discuss it)
- [ ] Implement proper TMS (Target Management Switch) on ctrl or shift arrow keys
- [ ] Put DMS on single toggle key (Display Management Switch)
- [ ] Fix CMS in the future (Countermeasure Management Switch) on ctrl/shift arrow keys (whatever TMS is not using)
- [ ] MSL STEP on key
wshould work more like the real. - [x] #294
- [ ] Find ways to communicate this keyboard layout better to the casual pilots.
And while we are at it if MSL STEP gets fixed, fix also:
- [ ] #448
Consider fixing also:
- [ ] Separate Trigger and Pickle (Redesign fire-control system, bit of work)
Zorka: ctrl+arrows is taken by mac default keybinds
So that leaves SHIFT-Arrows for TMS
Stuff that is not on keys right now, but on wrong 3D controls:
- TGP markpoint
- Send point from DED's STPT/MARK/BULL pages over Datalink.
- Set as active STPT from DED's STPT/MARK/BULL pages.
Fox-three suggests we initially implement these on TMS: y Select next TWS radar contact -> TMS Right Ctrl-y Deselect Radar Contact -> TMS Down l Cursor Designate -> TMS Up Ctrl-4 IFF Interrogation -> TMS Left
If you wanted them to all be next to each other, then ctl + w a s d / i j k l could work (would require rebinding ctl+ s and w to something else though)
