Less simple HARM operations

• HAS (HARM as Sensor) lock-on-before-launch

  • Threat tables 1, 2 and 3 on DED when HARM is selected.
  • A scan can take up to 90 seconds to search for all threats in a table.
  • The HAS search page on MFD shows what is found. Examples: 10T means SA-10 tracking radar. 10A means SA-10 acquisition radar. 10 means multiple SA-10 radar types active.
  • RS restarts the search.
  • 4 FOV settings: Center, Left, Right, Wide. Wide is default.
  • Can on search page select one of the found targets, to hand it off to the weapon.
  • MFD WPN page will say RDY when hand-off is complete.

• POS (Position Known) lock-on-after-launch

  • EOM (Equations of Motion) Over the shoulder attack on specific threat type.
  • PB (Prebriefed) For when have very precise target info. On axis.
  • RUK (Range Unknown) Threat specific. Off axis. Wide FOV.

• SP (a Self Protect mode) Engages highest prio target from RWR. Over the shoulder.

  • Not available to Hellenic Aircraft it seems..
  • Is essentially kind of maddog mode.

• DL (Delayed? Datalink?)

  • Not available to Hellenic Aircraft it seems.. but their manual has unscrubbed mentions of it.
  • Perhaps loiters until a search radar is turned on, then fires second stage and goes kill it? (rumours of this has been spreading)
  • Perhaps controlled from another aircraft through datalink?
