What are we talking about?
The flight path marker? Because the pipper don't blink: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKLqK4rELBM
Apparently in some F-16s at least, the vertical bomb steering line will appear until all bombs has been released/trigger released. At the same time the pipper and the CCIP Bomb Fall Line will go away. Until all bombs has been released the FPM should blink. (in reality till pilot lets go of trigger) There is also a Pullup Anticipation Cue which is a 'U' shaped horizontal bracket under the FPM, if the FPM reaches that the bombs will fall for too short time to fuse. (And LOW will be shown) (this goes for CCRP also) A cross will appear over the CCIP pipper when the pipper is out of sight. During that the pipper will be 14 degrees below bore cross. On the CCIP bomb fall line there is also a Time Delay Cue. Its for preplanned targets. And HYDRAs have their own kind of CCIP. In MFD the CCRP should show PRE, and same in CCIP when ground target is selected otherwise VIS.
