[feature request] - Timeline position control

Can you please look into positional control of the timelines? Example when I return to the app I can see Sengi tells me there are say 49 new toots in the Local Timeline. The web tells me there are 400+? Plus when refreshing the timeline I'd love the position to be maintained as to where I am in the timeline, that way I can 'scroll up' to read the content I've missed. I hope that makes sense?
