Serial ports cannot be opened - maybe solved?

Open meigrafd opened this issue 10 years ago • 1 comments

Maybe i found a solution for this Issue:

nano /root/.arduino/preferences.txt

Search for the Line: serial.port=COM1

And change it to: serial.port=/dev/ttyACM0

After restarting IDE "Serial Port" and also "Board" are selectable.

But after some time its gone again... :( strange issue

BTW you can also changed serial.debug_rate=38400 or similar so "Serial Monitor" will still work

Which version of the IDE did you use?

I should probably update the readme. 1.6.7 can be found here: https://github.com/arduino/Arduino/pull/3549#issuecomment-161739020

However its not the "stable" 1.6.7, just a git commit between 1.6.6 and 1.6.7. The arduino builder is also not the most up to date and this tiny arduini-builder bug still exists. BUT it should work better than the 1.6.3 provided in the readme right now.
