Issue: Unable to Save MP3 Metadata When Files Are on a Windows Network Share

When attempting to edit MP3 metadata using Tagger, I’m unable to save changes for files stored on a Windows network share. The same files can be edited without issue using puddletag, and Tagger works correctly for MP3 files stored locally.

What Works

  • Editing MP3 metadata with Tagger for files stored locally on my machine.
  • Editing MP3 metadata for files stored on a Windows network share, but only when using puddletag.

What Fails

  • Editing MP3 metadata with Tagger for files stored on a Windows network share.
