Add browser extension to send links to Parabolic, just like some other yt-dlp GUI download managers competitors please
Hello, thank you so much for the great awesome Parabolic Download Manager ! 💯 🥇
I have request please :
Many open-source competitors of Parabolic like Persepolis and Varia and many others downloaders which are GUIs of yt-dlp, have make custom standalone independent browser extensions on stores that bear their names and allow links to be sent to yt-dlp:
https://github.com/giantpinkrobots/varia?tab=readme-ov-file#browser-extension
https://github.com/persepolisdm/persepolis/wiki/Home-en#extensions
https://github.com/KurtBestor/Hitomi-Downloader/wiki/Chrome-Extension
https://github.com/mhogomchungu/media-downloader/wiki/Frequently-Asked-Questions#7-how-do-i-create-a-context-menu-on-chrome-or-firefox-to-open-links-in-media-downloader
https://www.arrow-dl.com/download/advanced/#install-webextension https://github.com/setvisible/ArrowDL
So for the prestige of Parabolic Download Manager and to make things more comfortable, we hope please that amazing Parabolic Team will think to make in browsers's stores a standalone extension named "Parabolic browser extension integrator" , thanks !
The base for this is already included on the milestone for version: V2025.9.0, More specifically: https://github.com/NickvisionApps/Parabolic/issues/1312
If all goes to plan, it should be available in the next update. In the meantime you can use: External Application Launcher for Chrome or for Firefox, This extension works perfectly with Parabolic.
Awesome !!! Thank you very much Mr @OwlRoyalty :) 💯 💯 🥇
