Display version and notification of new version

It should have some version displayed with -v/--version argument on start.

I was thinking about some "about" dialog box, displayed some information such as

• author name
• website
• bugtracker
• version

Last thing, it could take the latest version information from a website text page (something fast/light) and compare with the current version installed on the computer. If there is new version, it should notify the user on start.
