official chrome web store is blocked

Trying to install extensions (eg ClearURLs) from the official Chrome Web Store always results in the following error:

Apps, extensions and user scripts cannot be added from this website

Clicking on 'Learn more' returns a page saying:

support.9oo91e.qjz9zk is blocked
This page has been blocked by Chromium
ERR_BLOCKED_BY_CLIENT

I see several people report the same problem here and on Ungoogled Chromium's github. The browser's dev says it's chromium-web-store's fault.

I am getting this with Chromium Web Store 1.4.0 and Version 92.0.4515.131 (Official Build, ungoogled-chromium) (64-bit). Also, on Windows 10.

I'm having the same problem. I know that fixes keep happening, but something seems to undo it.

So what is the state of this project right now? Is this cool extension now defunct? Has it been knobbled by big G ?

After installing I tried to install ublock origin but did not see the "Install" button , so closed and restarted CBP and when it attempts to access G web store I get the output shown by OP.

That's a month and a half now. Is this dead ? Is it being worked on ??

TIA.

I am unable to reproduce this issue, but many similar issues have been reported in the past. The problem is typically caused by your browser. .qjz9zk domains are the result of ungoogled-chromium's domain substitution in an effort to block any access to google's servers. If you are seeing a message about .qjz9zk domains you are likely trying to using some chrome internal link that has intentionally been made defunct.

If you are using windows, you may have better luck using the builds from woolyss' website.

@J-Dunn If the only problem is the button not appearing on the extension's page, you can try to select Add to Chromium from the right click context menu instead. Also, try to use the .com version of the web store if you are not already. Here is a link to the aforementioned clearURLs extension that works fine for me in Version 94.0.4606.71 (Official Build, ungoogled-chromium) (64-bit).

Thanks for the reply. If I go to clearURLs as you suggest, I get a messages that "apps extentions and scripts cannot be added from this website. A button "Learn more" sends me back to :

support.9oo91e.qjz9zk is blockedRequests to the server have been blocked by an extension.
Try disabling your extensions.

Am I missing the sense of what you meant. ?

Have you set the chrome://flags/#extension-mime-request-handling flag to Always prompt for install?

Many thanks, that was not set. Now I can add extensions !

I've just discovered where this is explained. I was following an external guide which is either incorrect or out of date. Sorry for waste of time. At least there is now a note of it here for anyone check open issues, so they will not get the impression there is a problem as I did.

Thanks for the help and a great chromium extension.
