Bayesian Decisions T3: Brain encoding.

Open kevin-w-li opened this issue 5 years ago • 1 comments

It now seems x_tilde is called a brain encodiing. How is that different from the posterior p(x|x_tilde)? Isn't the posterior also a brain encoding of the true stimulus? x_tilde may be better understood as a noisy signal sent from the sensory organ to the brain. The brain receives it and forms a posterior encoding uncertainty over x.
