Time scale issue in merged .plx-files
Using PlexonIO for opening .plx-files which are the result of merging multiple .plx-files in PlexUtil leads to incorrent events time stamps. For example, I have 2 files recorded with the gap of 20 minutes. Then it turnes out that events stamps are located in time considering that gap of 20 minutes, but this gap cannot be taken into account for the analog signals (because the recording was stopped during the gap). This leads to a situation when several last events stamps correspond to times exceeding analog signal length. For example, when the analog signal length is 2000 sec, last event may be located at 3000 sec because there was a gap of 1000 sec or more between files merged. This results in loss of several (in my case up to 30) last events, and, additionally, all the events corresponding to second and further files turn out to be placed in time incorrectly.
Oups. I think I was not aware that a plx file could be a concatenation of several files. In that case several segment should exposed with this IO and this is not the case. Do you have information about how this multi segment is describe inside the plx specification ? If you have time, could you propose a patch for this ?
Not really for both questions. But there must be something in plx-files since they are opened correctly in some specific software, for example NeuroExplorer (Plexon Ltd.). And about the patch, well, I am not really properly skilled for such tasks, sorry.

I am wondering how neuroexplorer deal with theses gaps. (aka multi segment) In my mind neuroexplorer deal only with one segment. if there one gaps : are the 2 chunks concatenated in neuroexplorer or does the gaps is fill with zeros ?
