Labeling the edges

Hi all!

Is there a way to put a graphical label to the edge? I know I can put a notice there, but it's an exclamation mark and the text is visible only on hover.

What would be great is to have only a label and let it be always visible, like display: block.

Do you have any suggestions :)?

P.S. actually I'm using a react wrapper for that

There is not currently a way, but PRs are welcome.
