protobuf内的string问题

在pomelo中的porotobuf中，required string这种数据类型有没有压缩过？ 有的时候文本可能很大，需要压缩，不知道protobuf有没有实现类似于gzip的压缩？

protobuf协议本身就没有string压缩的，直接使用utf-8编码。如果要压缩string，可以先压缩，然后将压缩后的内容作为string传输。
