DIA db split option

Open liorlobel opened this issue 1 year ago • 1 comments

Dear fragpipe team,

Although I'm running the DIA_DIA-Umpire_SpecLib_Quant workflow, I get an error about incompatibility with database splitting.

Please set the split database to 1. For DIA and DIA-Lib data types, you can also use the DIA-Umpire based DIA workflow (DIA_DIA-Umpire_SpecLib_Quant workflow), which supports the split database option.

I understand this is ongoing work, but do you have any timeline for adding the feature? I'm asking because we are planning a metaproteomic run with an extensive database, and if this option isn't available, we will run DDA and not DIA.

Thanks again for this fantastic software.

Best,

Lior

It was due to some bugs in @guoci 's Python script. Hopefully, he will have time to revisit them.

Dear Lior and fragpipe team,

I faced exactly the same issue when I was running my own DIA file against some public databases with around 600k sequences. Have you already solved this? Really appreciate it if you have any suggestions.

Best,
