Sync fails with "SSLHandshakeException"

When attempting to sync manually from Android 6, the following error appears: "Sync status : failed : javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: java.security.cert.CertPathValidatorException: Trust anchor for certification path not found." - Cross-reported at https://github.com/madcowfred/padherder-issues/issues/893.
