Auto-update not working
This is with 1.0.0 using the default session installer on GrapheneOS (Android 14)
That's not much informative. Here's some relevant, helpful information:
- What apps aren't getting updated automatically?
- Did you disable the battery optimizations for NS or ignored it?
- Which is the selected installer?
(and Wikipedia - I haven't seen any of my apps auto update)
- Allow background use is enabled
- "Default session installer" as I said
And is auto-sync enabled?
I can (kinda) confirm that auto-updates don't seem to work for me either on my new Pixel 7 with GrapheneOS. Can't say if they worked before of course. Neo-Store is allowed to run in the background, Auto-Update is checked in the settings, and "Default session installer" is selected. I've also got "Notify about new versions of apps" active, maybe that somehow interferes?
Same problem here with Hyper Os (Android 14) and Miui Optimization disabled, Auto Sync and default session installer is activated
And is auto-sync enabled?
Auto-sync repositories is set to "only on wi-fi" and interval is 4 hours. Auto-update is enabled of course
The announcement from F-Droid of the feature being added says "On Android 12 or later, apps will be autoupdated after the first install or first update". Is this also the case for Neo Store, having to update an existing app once before auto-update will work? I had only recently installed Neo Store.
For me, it seems to have started working after a while. I had to permit an update a few times for several apps, but now i just sometimes get the notification that apps have been updated. I definitely haven´t updated ALL apps before it started working, so i don´t know what the trigger was/is.
@yaomtc @Termuellinator the system requires that either the app was installed by NS or last updated by it. After this, auto-update should work for all apps targeting sdk 30+
