Unable to kill the app with long-press on Back button

I routinely use the Back button to kill malfunctioning apps when needed (using /e/OS and other LineageOS-based ROMs).

However, I cannot kill Neo Store, as long-pressing the Back button produces the same result as short-pressing it: I get one screen back.

The only way to kill Neo Store is via Settings > Apps > Neo Store and tap "Force close".
