Bug: Manual refresh doesn't work

Describe the bug I'm unable to get any content in the feed. Most of the time the loading indicator shows up for a second. Sometimes, rarely it seems to stay forever.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Add a source
2. Refresh
3. Nothing happens?

Expected behavior A clear and concise description of what you expected to happen.

Smartphone (please complete the following information):

• Device: Galaxy S9
• OS: LineageOS 20 (Android 13)
• Version [e.g. 22]

Also Android studio emulator.

Some content appeared later, I guess from the background refresh. Manual refresh still seems to do nothing.

My first two guesses would be:

• Either you didn't disable "sync only on wifi" in settings, while having other types of connection
• You're using VPN/Tor so that your IP gets blocked

This does kind of feel like I'm doing something wrong, but at least both of those can be ruled out.

• I've fiddled with all settings, including wifi only toggle.
• The behaviour is the same on home wifi and mobile data.
• I don't use VPN/tor.
• I grabbed some rss reader from f-droid and tested the feeds, they work there.
